A good friend has started a design company the first product of which is a rather nifty hard case for your digi camera, iPhone and wotnot.  A genuis built his website / shop for him.

Spent yesterday at Winlatter forest, near Keswick riding with the Newcastle MTB Club.  Great fun despite a few mechanical gremlins. (Rear tyre coming off the rim at high speed through a corner)

Twitter feed should now be visible in the sidebar and is much more frequently updated.

Kind of makes this all a bit redundant.

With improving technology comes the chance to make posts here from mobile rather than having to remember thoughts until home and near a computer. This is the first post from the iPhone, or Jesus phone as users of “The Register,” would call it. More drivel later.

I’ve noticed that there is an increasing trend to measure large things using some odd units of measurements.  For instance, today two lucky people have each won around 45 million pounds on the Euro millions lottery.  Now for the hard of thinking, just how much is 45 million?

According to the BBC:

The winner would be able to enjoy a personal fortune comparable with that of the singer Sir Cliff Richard, the DJ Chris Evans or the footballer Michael Owen.

Well that makes it so much clearer.  45 million = Cliff Richard!

Gave up trying to update the Gallery section on the site as the app had become so slow and bloated.  Installed ZenPhoto instead which is pretty nifty.  New pics available here

For those people like me who use Adobe Dreamweaver loads, you may have noticed it crashing with annoying regularity recently.  Symptoms involve crashes when selecting text.  Thankfully there’s an easy fix!

Having driven over 650 miles this last weekend I’ve come to some conclusions about road users.

A vehicle with a missing rear light is 90% likely to be a rover 25, probably badly customised by a chav.
Not all BMW drivers are tossers, just most of them.
Small cars driven by the elderly should be restricted to lanes 1 and 2.
